Todays Tip: Take a picture of yourself while you are overweight. Keep this picture with you at all times. Whenever you feel like eating fattening food, ask yourself "Do I want to be like this forever?" If you have already lost some weight, ask yourself "Do I want to be this again?"
I wanted to share was a stretch for your shins. When I started to do the Couch to 5 K program immediately I started getting "shin splints" I asked around about it and I was told to do a certain stretch that has worked WONDERS for me. In fact I haven't had any shin discomfort since I started. Here it is:
- Sit in a chair.
- Take your feet one at a time or both and put your feet under the chair so the top of your foot is on the ground.
- Lean into the stretch to maximize or sit up depending on your comfort level. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds.
