Todays Tip:  Take a picture of yourself while you are overweight. Keep this picture with you at all times. Whenever you feel like eating fattening food, ask yourself "Do I want to be like this forever?" If you have already lost some weight, ask yourself "Do I want to be this again?"

I wanted to share was a stretch for your shins.  When I started to do the Couch to 5 K program immediately I started getting "shin splints"  I asked around about it and I was told to do a certain stretch that has worked WONDERS for me.  In fact I haven't had any shin discomfort since I started.  Here it is:
  1. Sit in a chair.
  2. Take your feet one at a time or both and put your feet under the chair so the top of your foot is on the ground.
  3. Lean into the stretch to maximize or sit up depending on your comfort level.  Hold the stretch for 30 seconds.
